Rules and eligibilty

1) Minimum Age
Applicants must be 18 years or older at the time of application. (Future program expansion may allow under-18 credits to be held until eligibility begins at age 18.)

2) Residency
Applicants must be a permanent or primary resident of a jurisdiction approved by CLAFF at the time of application. The initial rollout will be limited to the United States. Expansion to other locations will be determined by available funding, compliance capacity, and applicable legal requirements.

3) Activity Pathways

• Pathway A — Volunteer Track: Complete 6 verified volunteer sessions within the qualification window (or the Oct–Dec carryover period).
• Pathway B — Competition/Event Track: Complete 3 verified competition-based events within the qualification window (or the Oct–Dec carryover period).

The Fox Fund–Approved Activities page is illustrative, not exhaustive. Activities outside the list are eligible so long as they satisfy the 6‑point framework and can be verified.

 **Minimum Event Standard (all competition types): Structured, sanctioned, organized by a recognized/incorporated entity; active participation required (competing/presenting/performing).
***Athletic events: at least 5K (3.1 miles) or equivalent effort.

****Non‑athletic events: meaningful, time‑bound commitment typical for the competition type (e.g., multi‑round chess, timed hackathon, multi‑game esports, dance/performance competitions).

 

All activities must meet the Six-Point Eligibility Framework:

1. Public results or verifiable completion.
2. Registration-based.
3. Human-powered effort.
4. Accessible to the general public.
5. Aligned with CLAFF values.
6. Transparent and non-fraudulent.

*All events must be organized and hosted by a legally registered entity with valid state or federal business registration.

1. Verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

3. CLAFF-vetted public benefit organization.
